b_200_200_16777215_0___images_stories_jpccastage.jpgThis year for the first time the John Peel Centre for Creative arts will be presenting a live music stage at Stowfest. Featuring appearances from some of Suffolk's most exciting new acts the event will be recorded live and filmed inside a big top. Supported by the Education Opportunity Trust at West Suffolk College the stage production will be run by UCS Bury students and filmed by media students at West Suffolk College.

Organiser Jon Hart on behalf of The John Peel Centre said "We were asked to put something on and wanted to start with a grass roots event for this first year. We are not Glastonbury but we share the same ethos as the John Peel stage there. Who knows, next year it could grow into something much bigger. We want to start with new music from Suffolk as there is so much amazing new music being made in this county right now, we are very proud of what is going to be on offer on our stage, it's going to be very high energy come the end, just be ready to dance."
